Where is God?

We got this message from someone on our website the other day:

"I have read some of your resources and was just wondering where is God in your Philosophy? Do you not believe in a higher power? Just curious."

Here's what I wrote back:

"Thanks for your note and your question. We're just presenting science to kids, so we don't really have any position on religion. All our products can be used from any number of religious or nonreligious perspectives.
Best wishes,
Kate"

  1. Perfect response, Kate.
    I didn't think I could have a higher opinion of your company/products/you -- but, now I do. :-)

  2. Wow, thanks so much! That's the first question I've gotten on the topic, so I thought I'd post it on the blog. Didn't hear back from him....

  3. I agree that your response was just right, Kate. I'm not surprised that you got the question, though--rather that you hadn't gotten it before.

  4. I agree with both of the other commenters. Your response was spot on perfect.

    Kudos!

  5. Great response. The problem is that there are some people out there to whom religion is intricately woven into their ideas about "science". I am sure you'll get future such messages in the future, so it's good to already have your response ready! (Though most religious people that I know feel that their religion is separate from science, fortunately.)
